Cell Service

Who would have thought that I would move to the bush in Africa and get a cell phone, but I broke down and got one today. Of course I will not get service at my house but I can use it when I go to Kasama. I won't be making any calls on it, because it is outragously expensive, but incoming calls are free. I can also send and receive text messages for cheap. Here is the number. I expect lots of calls and texts from my esteemed fans.

099342059

You will also need the Zambian country code, but I can't remember it right now.

Hi Devin,

My mom is Chris and she is friends with your mom. I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy reading your stories. You definitely have a unique perspective! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I'd text message you if I had any idea how to work that on my phone. I bet you make a mean rat stew these days. Keep practicing that downward dog and taking those bucket baths. I'll send you a pic of mini-spence on your email. He's pretty darn good looking, just like his dad.

Got your letter yesterday and it was awesome...particularly because now we know that we will never starve in Mammoth if we ever get caught falling in the lake at midnight again after the Tiger Bar. We can always boil a pumpkin if we need to survive in the wild. Keep up the good work and make sure you stock up on coal when you get back to the States.

Hey Devo, I think the country code for Zambia is 260. I'm still holding out on getting a cell phone (even though they practically just put a tower in my back yard) mostly so I can act self-righteous around those of you who buckled early. Traitors.
